Not sure how this coin made it into circulation, but it appears to have been struck twice by the dies each time more off centre. Is this a common occurrence, or something that just slipped through?

Not that I have any intention of getting rid of it, but is there any value in this sort of error compared to the standard value of a graded coin?

Value wise it's a solid $50 coin. Graded, as a details coin due to corrosion, it's not worth the cost of the grading. Nice example! :)
