I have a 1976 dime that just seems odd to me. It has on both sides a flat silvery surface but the rims are still raised and on the head part of it where it's flat The outer part of the head is still there invisible. Where it's flattened is really shiny. Not very many scrapes in it or any kind of marks where the shiny part is. Let me know what you think.

Looks like maybe someone took a buffer to it?

To CCF! It's not an error. Might be a Dryer Coin, or it was spooned. Worth 10 cents.

to CCF, remember cropping is a good thing. With me ocd I'm too busy trying to figure out what' that denim, pant leg or sofa arm cover to even think about the coin.

to the CCF

Damage of some sort. No way for that to happen when the dime was struck.
Also as posting instructions, please crop your photos.

does not look like a Dryer Coin though.

Well something was going on to have the rims so thin and raised above the surface of the coin that much but obviously PMD.......

To Greasy fingers. You had me laughing. It was a dinning room chair cover. You were close and thank you all for helping out. I'm just learning. I have a lot of possible errors and we don't have anyone close to me to take the coins in to be checked. Well not a lot about 5. Lol
