There is a proof like finish on this one. Really nice deep red to gold toning around the edge of the coin. I'm curious as to what you all think a grade is for this one. Thanks in advance.

I'll say PL-64.

this is a nice 78 7TF
grading a PL by photo almost always requires some type of depth indicator like newsprint with the coin on its edge. the rev does appear to be PL but both sides must exhibit the depth and I'm not seeing it using this photo
the 7TF are known for above average strikes. this one fits that box. luster across the cheek is a little dull but is there. it has above average eye appeal with some peripheral toning. the toning is moving into the black range which is the final progression toning level
MS65 possible PL

Nice coin! I'd say MS-65PL, although I'm not seeing much reflectivity on the obverse.

Since this is a long nock coin, be sure to check for any indications of 7/8 TF. Both dies were polished heavily, so it may be hard to determine.

Looks like a very attractive coin. I see too many marks (around nose / lips, cheek / chin, neck, in the hair) on the obverse to be above MS-63. Looks to be PL or DMPL.

Here are shots of the obverse and reverse showing its reflectivity. I believe it to be proof like but am always looking for thoughts on it.

With the new pics, I'm not sure the obverse has enough reflectivity to make PL. The reverse certainly does. It's a close call. The VAM attribution looks correct, great coin!

I'm with zurie. I'm not seeing the depth in the obv. you need to use something like newsprint and hold the coin 3" above it, which is the minimum for PL. you should be able to read the words.

64, could make PL.

The coin is a bit too scuffy on the obverse cheek, which is your prime focal point to rate a MS 64 grade. My grade is MS 63.7 (decimilized). On the reverse, there are a number of field ticks and marks: net grade MS 63. Regarding the Proof -like surfaces; the best you can do is call it semi-proof like. I am looking at super good photograph. What was the camera. ? Focal settings? Please don't tell me it was a simple scanner.
