I'm fairly sure this is a 1922-D, but it is quite worn and hard to photograph well. As always it's easier to see in hand. Assume the date is readable.

Wow, that's a cool one, both wear and die state contribute to it's look.

This was my best guess as well. I wish there were more example photos around of PO-1 Lincoln cents to compare against.

Hard to tell what date it is, but it's a nice low grade coin.

They exist in this forum somewhere. Many years ago folks were posting them in separate thread.

This is better than a PO-1, you have a date and can see the major details. PO looks like a slug. I bet if you get a strong light and mag, you'll be able to make out the last 2 digits, tilt and move around. It can also help to add a drop of water over the area, it too can magnify and is harmless to the coin.

PCGS has only 4 Lincoln cents graded PO-O1 in the population report(1 1909 VDB, 1 1912-D, 1 1915, 1 1917-D), so it's hard to find any examples.

Given how intact the obverse rim is relative to the date, LIBERTY, and IGWT, there's probably a lot of Die Deterioration contributing to the obverse weakness, not just wear.

Dig around on their website and look for the albums by the low ball collectors. They have a separate category. It's been years since I looked - good luck.

All I could find is "everyman" but I think those are AU.

Ah, found "lowball" but no Lincoln sets listed.

The way to check is hard using type sets. You have to open the sets and see what grade the Lincoln is and if they even have a picture.
