Cool Medal, Dearborn, and great photography too. Even though it is government-issued.

This Swiss America round was produced by the Draper Mint, from 1973 to 1974, though it is undated.
It's a chunky piece, with the same diameter as a US Quarter, but as thick as a stack of four quarters.

Here's more information about the Draper Mint in Draper, Utah, and its founder, Loyd Hewitt.

That's a nice thick round you got. I don't recall ever seeing one. There's an online site that sells vintage silver rounds, agroundworld.com, for those interested. I noticed they have a couple like yours for sale. There's been numerous private mints that have closed or were bought and name changed. It can be hard to find out the mint name/history of some rounds.

There's another site about vintage silver bars, vintagesilver.com
