This morning on a whim, I called the branch of a local a bank in an adjacent town that never has had any half dollars when I've previously called them. Despite the discouraging remark by the teller, I stopped at the bank and asked for the coins. To my surprise, they were in a sealed envelope labelled $67. The teller told me that someone had cashed the coins several weeks ago, and I assume that she counted them to verify the deposit.

When I tore off one end and poured several coins into my hand, I heard the pleasant sound of silver. 72 of the 134 coins in the envelope were uncirculated Kennedy half dollars that contain 40% silver -- my best CRH in nine months! The remaining coins were uncirculated half dollars minted in 1971 or 1972.

I returned to the bank and asked the manager if I could purchase pizza lunch for her team. She thanked me, but said that would be against bank policy.

Never give up trying at a bank branch....

Very Nice!
I just bought someone's dump of Presidential, Sacagawea, and S.B.A. dollars
While there, another teller was happy to get rid of a roll of Kennedy halves. Found a 1971D RPM in $10.00 worth

Amazing! I used to search rolls back in the 1970s and I'd often find 3-7 Ag halfs out of 20. At your haul's percentage it would've been 10-11 per roll. And a half century has gone by since then.

I gave up on my Credit Union many Moons ago. They're good for everyday banking, but not as a coin source.

Wow! At today's melt value that would be worth $810.00 in silver alone.
Congratulations.
