Thank You, everyone! Quote: Are you going to get it graded? Hadn't given it any thought, actually. I also haven't had chance to try and find a value for it. Think it's worth grading? I've never had anything graded, yet.

Well, there are less than 20 examples on PCGS.
GC shows that the discovery coin sold for $800. A mint state specimen sold for $787 in a PCGS slab. But two in ANACS slabs and one in an NGC slab went for $100 each. Hard to get a feel for real value based on those transactions, there's a lot of ground between $100 and $800.

Brandmeister Thanks for the research info! Think I might! If nothing else, it would be pretty cool to get one slabbed

Quote: Don't know if "rare" but... Hey, I'm just writing it the way V.V. has it listed Interesting reads. That's pretty much all I could find, also. Sort of like the Extra V '23 penny: why and how?

Very nice find, congrats! If you did list it for sale, I don't know if I would have it slabbed, in its condition I think raw would sell just as well. I think it would need to be high AU or low MS to even consider the cost of slabbing, just get good pics and list it correctly, those that know it will understand what it is. Regardless, that is a great find!
