Is that a die crack running from rim to rim starting behind the four in the date and ending up on the right side of the b in Liberty? Is Liberty and God we trust and the date doubled as well I don't see anything on the reverse about an hour ago I was reading something out here about another 1974 JFK can't remember what the error was. Time for schooling ladies and gentlemen thank you

Just seeing a normal Kennedy half with no DDO, and a long scratch.

it is a long scratch, when the scratch was done, metal was moved (welled up alongside the indentation of the scratch.

Think of a scratch on a coin with metal piled up on the sides of the scratch like a ditch with the ground piled up (Furrowed)...........

Leaning toward a scratch determination. Would like to see a photo of the obverse rotated about 90 degrees. Thanks.

My eye keeps going back and forth from die crack to scratch.
Can you also add a close-up, on a slight angle? I think that would help tremendously.

That definitely is a scratch, at least to my eyes. With regard to the DDO, the images provided don't show enough clear detail for me to make a determination.

It's a scratch, jeez, look at the ear and look at the bottom where whatever scratched the coin also nicked the rim.

This is a situation where $10 on a little plastic clip-on scope will resolve about 95% of unusual looking features.
