I picked up this old box. Doesn't look like wheats but mostly all look to be BU rolls from the 60s ,70s, and a few from the 80s! I like copper so I'm happy. Ever seen a box like this? Any idea what year it's from? Edited by LibertyEagle20 Today 22M ago

Fantastic! I would take BU 95% copper memorials over worn out Wheaties every time.

Let us know what you pull. Guessing the box itself (re-used?) is from the mid '50s through very early '60s. Not seeing a zip code on the manufacturer's address line.

Quote: Not seeing a zip code on the manufacturer's address line. Ah. Zip codes started in 1963.

Nice score! If you collect varieties and errors, I would search them.
Errers and Varietys.

Nice acquisition, LibertyEagle20! Very interesting box. Quote: Ah. Zip codes started in 1963. I did not realize that.... Quote: If you collect varieties and errors, I would search them. I agree, there are many really good varieties during those years.

Nope, never saw a box like that. As noted, it likely predates most of the coins it contains. A tangential short story: Almost 50 years ago I bought $100 in Cents at a bank, two $50 bank bags containing rolled coins. Climbing onto the city bus with those bags got me some odd stares, LOl. I was in my twenties at the time, there's no way I would be physically capable to totting close to 70 pounds of cents onto a bus, today. It was a struggle even in my prime. I searched through every cent and kept the least circulated, which to this day make up part of my hoard of Cu Cents, which is sorted and rolled by year and mint.
