Nope, never saw a box like that. As noted, it likely predates most of the coins it contains.
A tangential short story: Almost 50 years ago I bought $100 in Cents at a bank, two $50 bank bags containing rolled coins. Climbing onto the city bus with those bags got me some odd stares, LOl. I was in my twenties at the time, there's no way I would be physically capable to totting close to 70 pounds of cents onto a bus, today. It was a struggle even in my prime.
I searched through every cent and kept the least circulated, which to this day make up part of my hoard of Cu Cents, which is sorted and rolled by year and mint.

That is sweet! I personally would go through them, searching for high end coins and varieties and errors but will let others give there opinions. I don't know how familiar you are with cents but here are a few links to peruse and don't hesitate to ask questions.
