Yes it is, nice find, it is a very low number star note. Too bad about the minor damage but still worth a premium.

Yes, some collectors look for these with a Star after the #. Good note to have for a "liar's poker" game at the bar.

Quote: Does the misplaced dollar symbol in the title have a significant meaning? How is that misplaced - I do that a lot when I'm wanting to say "20 dollar bill" instead of writing it all out. "20$ bill". He asked "Is this worth 20$" ? I guess it's like "Penny" vs "Cent".

I believe it's called convention, and is normal among English speaking peoples. Just as the Cent symbol is conventionally placed following the amount. Quote: You should almost always place the dollar sign before the number. If you're referring to major dollar-based countries, this is the conventional choice.
