Having little place to store it, the contain remain outdoors for several years. On day trying to get rid of excess in the yard, I looked through it and found this and some other nick knacks. Growing up in Iowa meant a lot and now older it makes me think back. She never mentioned the coin, so I was glad I checked closely before throughing the container away. Report this Post to the Staff

I acquired this 2 years ago when I first started collecting at 14.It is an 1830 Bust Half that I purchased from a rather impatient person that become anxious to leave as I was sorting their collection. To hurry me along she shook a little box filled with crusty IHC's and junk silver in my face and said how about $6.00? I took the chance and to my surprise found this at the bottom! I thinks it's cool that at the same time this was minted and just entering circulation the following was taking place: Sam Colt patented his revolver Arkansas became the 25th State And my favorite the Alamo was taking place right then!
