hhbkiddo Pillar of the Community Canada 1248 Posts	Posted 07/07/2009 1:59 pm Hello, a local auctioneer asked me if this coin would be valuable and why letters and digits are missing... icould detect a very faint digit 4 with a loupe, but am not sure I have never seen a similar coin before. any Ideas? thanks Report this Post to the Staff

The last A in CANADA is weakly struck and the TS in CENTS appears missing. With a stereoscopic microscope, you can at times detect different heights to letters. In fact, this is why you will often see ejection doubling on some letters but not others - its because of uneven heights in the letters. This is a nice variety though. Report this Post to the Staff
