ihave a quarter that is entirely copper on the back I'm no coin person but curious to know if anyone has heard of that type misprint

It can happen. We need to see pictures to verify that that is what you have, though, a lot of other things can happen to a coin to make it look like that.

Sounds like you have a quarter that is missing the reverse clad layer. If so, it should weigh around 4.7 grams.
