The 5 Rappen along with it's brother and sister Rappen were all demonetized recently so they are hitting the market in bulk. The lowest value coin issued is the 1/2 Franc I believe. That said, earlier dates like 1915 are not that common.

I would also look for the double hubbed variety before disposing of that one cheaply. The 5 Rappen was often double hubbed and there is a premium from specialists.

This particular 5 rp/ct coin can indeed not be used any more; it was taken out of circulation in 1984. The current type - same design but in brass - is the lowest denomination coin in Switzerland.
