I just pick this up on ebay. I think I got it at a good price. I think it might be borderline vg. will welcome any opinions.

Hawk1969, , I have to go with the Canadians,on this. My position on any "buy", is that if one thinks the price is right, (enough to pay, to include the coin in ones collection), and it fills a spot in the collection, then if you are happy, it is justified. I have paid more than a coin is worth, to have it in my collection, just as have bought coins at a very good price, that I thought was appropriate. It is your feeling of satisfaction in what you have done, that counts, when all is said and done. IMHO. Well done!

I though it was a large date, but wasn't really sure. I bid the coin as a small date just to be on the safe side. everybody that responded seems to think it is a large date. that's a good thing. :)

Its a small date - short top 5 = small date (long top 5 = large date)

small date for sure.
max grade imo is a 4 ICCS
charlton book does NOT list dealers buying prices. Many out dated and old. These are retail prices. same in CNN.
I had this coin on watch and would have paid MAX $ 35 for it.
No hurt intended here. If you purchased it for your collection, good buy. If you want to re-sell it.. NO $$ in it. Add ICCS cost and you end up with CAN $ 80.
