What type of time frame average do you obtain your orders from the R.A.M. ?

I got one order as I said in twelve days to CA. I believe they say 4-6 weeks.

I have waited up to a month after ordering for coins to arrive.

I live just north of Canberra. It's easy for me to drop in and pick-up or purchase coins from there. I oreder coins from the mail department and advised them that I would pick them up from 'down stairs' at their shop front. Time from mail order to pickup? 30 days [:0]

Beware; The internal packaging of the 2006 gold sets leaves something to be desired. The set number plaque 1-300 is left in a depression with no cover or internal packaging to cover the coins in their holders. The plaque is a rectangle with four sharp points. During shipping the plaque on the first set came loose and scratched the plastic coin holders. The second set had done the same, but one coin was put in with a broken plastic holder and scratches to the rim of the coin. Several others had loose covers but were scratched on the covers but the coins were untouched. The box with the wood box comes shrink wrapped, but that does little for the contents. One would think internal packing would also be important considering the cost of the sets. I have been playing email tag ,with promises for two weeks with nothing to show for the work. Open all boxes, they can be re - shrink wrapped.

I have had contact with the R.A.M. and they have picked up my two gold sets. They will replace damaged coins and relace the holders for the coins, and return them to me after inspection. They are also looking at how they do internal packaging for any items that can come loose in an otherwise secure external packaging arrangement. At this point I feel they will do what is necessary to make the sets whole. Dion Buck was helpful, but seems to have his hands full with a rather large mound of work. Some times it takes a deal of correspondence to get the point across. I will update when the product returns.

Money may buy you a golden Aussie Proof Set BB5. But money will never assure your health or happiness. There are a lot of sad and sick rich people out there. Be happy with what you have and help people that don't have so much. That will fulfil your life more than any pieces of gold ever will.

I agree; In the end all you have is family. Health is a tricky thing. It is great if it is there. When I was 24 just left the Military after six years and went to school. I started a business with 1500.00 of borrowed money. I never looked back. Forty years later I can now work on my coin collection I started when I was a boy.I would trade every thing for good health for my wife and myself. You learn as you get older you do with what you have. Do you know what old people want ? what they want !

Today I received two new sets from the R.A.M. thanks to the hard work of Dion Buck, and the CEO Janine Murphy . They are perfect in every aspect. If you bought these I imagine you will see appreciation in the near future. It is obvious that the Canberra Mint Values their customers around the world, as this is the type of service one can only expect if he drives a Bently. The old sets were #45 & #224 . The new sets are #294 & #298 .

I would just like to mention if some members were not aware. This set sold out a couple of weeks ago. The only sets to sell on the secondary market since then (that I'm aware of) are those sold by Downies. Downies sold half a dozen sets which they paid issue price for (no wholesale allocation given to dealers) for $4745. To obtain a set you needed to part with $4975. This price included the 2006 Silver Proof Set ($230). The Offer lasted a millisecond before selling out.

This is not to be negative Check out the sellers ebay store and his feedback he sells thousands of cigarette lighters and a "few coin sets" It appears to me he buys and rebuys sets to pass on for profit. I wonder if he/she is a collector or a dealer? I doubt it. I would rather buy from a collector, dealer or the mint itself. Just my opinion
