I've recently ordered some coins... one of them is an Australian Kookaburra 2004 square coin proof 1/2oz, the price was $AU26.00, but instead they sent me a 2005 $2 Aust Kooka 2Oz...Big and heavy one... should I return the coin and ask them to send me the correct coin that I've ordered? Is anyone knows what this 2005 2oz coin worth now?

Email who you bought from and ask if they have the one you paid for. If not keep the one you have unless you need the 2004 to complete a set.

I moved this topic to the Australian Miscellaneious section as I think it will get more attention there.

If you email the seller be patient
they may have just made an honest mistake and will be willing to work with you.

If not your coin will be easy to sell and you can purchase what you wish with the proceeds.

I once sent the wrong item to a buyer and as soon as I realized it I sent the buyer the correct item and asked them to return the first item sent in error.

even though I sent the correct item within 24 hours, it took the buyer 4 months to return the other item to me.

So do not jumop to conclusions until you hear from the seller.
Best Wishes

Thanks everyone for your response. I think I'll keep the coin and re-order my square coin. One more question though. Is this 2005 2oz Kooka suppose to have a certificate? Cos I didn't get one in the box. What abt the mintage?

Thanks
