This one has been in my collection for a while, but I don't think I've posted it for opinions. A bit of weakness on the reverse, but this is a nice looking coin overall with a fair amount of remaining luster.

Very Nice AU 58. I've been trying to add some Seated Liberty's to my collection. So far I don't have a single one in my collection

I'll say AU55 because of the weakness in the eagles head and the motto but still very nice , this is one of my favorite series

Very nice, I would grade it at AU-55.

Thanks for the comments! You are all nice to my Seated halves! I do think ANACS was a bit harsh here, which is why I wanted additional opinions. It no longer resides in the holder, but in my type set.

Johnny,

I don't know how I missed this thread ... guess I need more sleep.

I think ANACs was harsh due to the really weak reverse. Several of the motto letters barely show "I_ ___ WE TRUST". San Francisco pieces are usually hammered.

But don't fret ... this is still a gorgeous coin and deserves a place of honor in your 7070.

ANACS gave this a 50 because of the motto a great 58 in my book.

NICE obverse!! Wow! The reverse shows very minimal wear but I think the motto being poorly struck really brought down the grade.

I personally think, taking into acount the poorly struck motto, this coin should have been graded AU-58.

I would of given it AU-53. Half of the motto is obliterated along with a bit of weakness on the obv. Well at least you could pick it up at AU-50 prices.

Thanks guys! It's been so long since I've looked at this thread, I forgot I posted it. I also am not used to my new avatar yet. I opened and was like, "wow, I have a coin that looks JUST LIKE that! Who took my coin?" I must be getting old.
