I finally ordered the new Charlton. Amazon.com had it for $19.95 and I got free shipping with Amazon Prime. The edition I have now is a couple years old.

I couldn't find the 2010 edition anywhere. I saw a listing at Amazon but it wasn't available.

I used to get Charltons to compare or see if much had changed in value or to get caught up on modern issues but now I realize the info in the back on varieties etc is worth the cost of the book as a reference. In both Haxby and Charlton I think they should highlight a defined set of Canadian coins. That is something that would need definition , under the guidance of the national associations. I think it would help the coin community to have a 'set' defined.

I agree Mr Canada. I have no idea how they calculate their pricing. If I paid those prices for coins I would never make any money on them. Does anyone know what varieties they are profiling this year

I have heard through the grapevine it is the 5 cent pieces starting in 1858 to hopefully at least 1926. we shall see. HHB

Yes its the 5 cents. And they call it volume 1 because they will also come out with volume 2 next year consisting of all the mint products.

I agree. There is much confusion in what is a "set", and what is not, but is listed, (as in the US,mas a set. I have PL, and other type "sets", that I'm not sure what they are, and much less, how to evaluate them. Is there something in the 'mill", that will clarify this situation? I need to get the 2010 Charlton's, too, but I need the printed edition, rather than the CD. Having a vision problem, makes it imperative that it be able to view on a CCTV reading system. The cioins I can put under my scope, but the book, no way. Dick
