A quick check on VAMWorld shows that the
VAM 5 is distinguished by doubled obverse stars and a small
Cud below the date that covers some of the denticles. Larger images are needed to see the doubling but it looks like your coin doesn't have much of a
Cud below the date. Could it be an early die state of this type?
Gradewise I see a possible touch of wear on Liberty's cap but I could be wrong. The hit below Liberty's eye and the reverse carbon spots will limit the maximum grade. If wear is present, I'd give it AU-58. If mint state I think it could top out at MS-64. That would put it one notch below the finest listed for the NGC census. Nice!
