He sure started strong - he was averaging 4.5 posts a day compared to my paltry 0.75 posts a day. So, he seemed to be having fun.

I guess it's better burn out than to fade away...

if he is locked then I doubt he will even be able to read the posts unless he is just here as a guest. Anyway I don't understand what happened here, the only thing I can remember that could have upset him was people telling them they are seeing MD instead of DD and that he is wasting his time saving and cataloging common coins when he could just look and catalog the rarer ones. Some people take posts like this as criticism when in fact it was only meant to educate. I wish I had a nickel (not going to say a cent because I hate those things) for every ebay auction for DD coins from uneducated sellers when in fact either they are seeing things or it is just die fatigue or Mechanical Doubling

If I am not mistaken if you don't put in a Birth Date when you sign up on the forum it defaults to age 13 so that is probably what happened in this c ASE

I took a time-out for about 3 months allowing me to gain a new, improved perspective. Perhaps Mike will do the same. It's hard to stay away from this place.

Mike sorry to see ya leave.
Take a break for a few weeks(I do) Friends+coins should always = fun. Or start two hobbies and go back and forth. I'm going to be looking for a metal detector soon. And will be taking a few day off from the computer and roll searching. I will be probing the earth looking for that mayonnaise jar full of BU 1909-s VDB's

It wasn't until I came here that I have been so hooked on collecting and so informed on the right way to do it. I $$thank$$ all of my friends on here. "A place where everybody knows your name" And also what you like to collect.

There isn't this the most happy line up of fruits you have ever seen?

Yes, I totally agree that it is a shame that he wishes to leave. Sometimes just taking a break from a hobby lets your return refreshed. I have been very happy with this forum and am extremely grateful for the knowledge I have gained and all of the interesting characters I have talked to. Thanks, everybody!
