Got a strange $25 box the other day, actually it was 50 rolls in a plastic bag the bank gave me. Someone must have turned in a bunch of pennies recently. I noticed some rolls had 1983 D on them. As I went through them, there were 25 rolls of 83's, all in about AU condition, from the 4 or 5 rolls I opened. There were 23 rolls of copper 82. I opened about 5 rolls, and all were AU condition. I weighed the rolls to determine they were copper. There were 2 rolls of all copper mixed dates. Although there was not much sorting needed, having 50% copper, and 23 rolls of AU 82 copper was nice. Can I get more than 1 cent for the 83's, or should I just recycle them back? Happy roll hunting.

bugzilla46310- Nice copper find! Yeah, the 1983's are pretty much just worth one cent if not BU or some rare variety.
