Odd line through the date and a lumpmy looking thing at the F in of. However, one way to get someone to sell something cheap is to say it's a fake. Like "Nice coin there but you know it's a fake, don't you. Even so, I'll give you a few dollars for it" Difficult to really tell if fake or not but if someone offered $200, I doubt it's a fake.
Appears to be the small letter variety and I suspect whoever offered you the $200 thought it might be the 8/7 one. Appears to be about EF-40 or a bit better so should only be about $100.

I can see how this coin might raise concerns, but there could be plausible explanations as well.
The lack of detail on the eagle's beak, left wing, and nearby legends might be due to a filled die or strike.
Although, strike problems are more often in the tail, so I'm betting on a dirty die. That might explain the mushy denticles too.
The line through the date appears to be a die break, and that's a plausible location for one. Looks like a die on its way out.
Both 8/7 overdates were the LL variety, so maybe someone liked the die problems on this one?

It was found in KY with a metal detector along with a few others. I think it is a die break by the date.

The Flying Eagle cent was the first US coin to use a nickel composition so difficulties in striking were the norm. It is common to see mushy details while while other parts of the coin are strong. It also does have a die crack at the date. Since it is a metal detector find, the coin has more than likely sustained corrosion. I am almost certainly not a fake but it is definitely not worth $200 either. Based on the obverse only, it probably does have EF/AU details but would probably only be worth VF money due to corrosion issues. If you have an offer for that much(provided the seller has examined the coin and is fully aware of the condition) then I would take it if I were you.
