Is the clad missing on one side or both?

Take into account that grade still applies, but for nice AU or higher, I have seen them selling at major shows for $20 to $40 for one sided and $50 to $100 for both sides missing.

I haven't seen a photo yet...the way it was told was one side--
Thanks for the info--I'm guessing it wouldn't be rude to bid a little lower than the prices you quoted?
Would this be the kind of coin to have slabbed?

Thanks for the help--I don't know much about this kind of coins...

You can bid whatever price you like. I would not however buy the coin without seeing at lest a good photo. As far as slabbing the coin goes, it would make it easier to sell. Take into consideration that slabbing will run you $25 +

Hi Speedy. I purchased a 1994 dime that had the reverse clad layer missing that slabbed at MS-63 by ANACS. I won the raw coin on ebay with S/H for a $18. I don't feel a lower bid would be rude at all.

Well the guy never emailed back so I guess he didn't want to sell it after he looked at it.
