Lets not panic... Cancel my guess. It's only for fun anyway.

If its going to be an issue I will recind my previous guess. I guess I had never really thought to look on ebay to see if the coin was an auction that was close to ending to make a guess. It not like I am going to come close to winning anyway .

I think both your guesses should stay! :)

I think both your guesses should stay! :) If the price has not been announced, the guessing should continue! (Unless there is an auction ending time involved, then you have to call it on time, I guess). That's why I like to use one of my own coins, since I, and usually I alone, know what I paid for it and the contest can run until the price is announced... Just my 2 cents...

Well, who is going to settle this so we can move on?
My 2 cents: (1) the contest is just for fun; (2) the person in charge of this round said 1:00 p.m. EST Turkey Day; (3) the person in charge of this round said the guesses should stay.
My conclusion... um, I'm confused. Punt to the contest organizer.

Round 2 Final ResultsFrom the Round Host:Quote: The coin was a Teletrade coin. The coin DID NOT sell. The Highest bid was $1500 but not accepted. It was Lot1190, 1874 Proof Arrows PCGS 64 Dime, Auction number 2776 The price at PCGS site for proof 64 is $2100.
My opinion the highest bid in the contest was $1200...and he would be the winner. It is your call. I agree.

I originally intended to allow the two past-due guesses to stand, but trdhrdr007 made a good argument and I will concur with him.
One might think that it is only five points, but five points could win or lose the season.

Round 3 is yours to host! Important note: I have some traveling to do for work this week. My forum time will be spotty. I encourage the Round 3 host to let this one run through next weekend since everyone will have to wait on me anyway.

LOL, since I joined the contest in season 7 I thought people were listing coins they owned and bought or sold. I didn't know that some were up for auction. I hope to win the chance to post a coin someday. congrats to coinyoungsta! Have a nice week jbuck!
