Excellent congratulations! My best "find" was an 1893-O that my grandmother got at a bank back when Morgans were still available. She did some light cleaning on it but condition seems borderline VF/EF. I'll probably send it to ANACS at some point for grading.

Congratulations! What a great story.
I think they were tough on the grade. I thougt AU58 when I saw the coin in the first post.

He said on page 11 that he consigned it to heritage back in july. I know the dates say november when it was posted but it was 2009

I think you have what you think you have! The condition looks to be like a MS-63 or MS-64 and the luster in the obverse is incredible! I'd probably get it slabbed with PCGS or NGC before it gets damaged or lost. I'm really excited for you. What a fantastic find!

If you go back and read the thread in its entirety you will see that it is in fact genuine, the OP sent the coin to PCGS for grading and received an AU55. The OP then listed the coin for sale with Heritage and received over $8000 for it.
