Its a Philadelphia 1923
Peace dollar. If it was from a mint other than Philadelphia there would be a mint mark on the reverse below ONE between the ray and the rim such as an S for San Francisco. The 1923 is very common and it has some dings in the rim. It's worth around $18-$20 to a collector. A dealer would buy this at 90% silver melt value which would be around $12.80 at silver at $16.55 per ounce as just checked.
Its too bad that its a 1923 and not a 1928 as for the 1928 is quite valuable due to low mintage and high demand for key date.
