I see the thread for US coins involving what sets you have completed. I've got some real gems I am proud of, but can't really brag on the "What do you have for completed sets" thread when these sets are foreign, the US collectors just don't care. Off the top of my head, I've got the following completed.

Fiji predecimal (two sets)
Seychelles (pre independence)
New Guinea
French Oceania (alright this really isn't fair with only 4 coins, but I've got them)
British colonial Gambia (1970 and below)
If I was talking individual denominations from some country, I'd have a lot of "completed" sets.
I'm halfway to the St. Pierre and Miquelon set!! Maybe this is pushing it a bit.

Let me know what you've got, I'd be interested in knowing about your Kuwait set or your Nigeria set (which I'm working on) or whatever.

I've completed St. Pierre & Miquelon! But only if we count just circulating coinage. If we add essais and pieforts, I have ways to go.

I'm OFEC, so "set completion" isn't a priority for me. There are some "mini-sets" (like St.P & M, which I've also completed) that I've completed more or less by accident, or purchased as packaged sets:

- East India Company - Straits Settlements (1845, 3 coins)
- Katanga (two coins)
- Lundy (two coins)

This isn't counting the "only ever issued one coin type" countries like Central African Empire, Meng Chiang, Prince Edward Island, Schonau, etc..
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

counting only circulation issues, I have:

  • Yugoslavia (1920-2004)
  • Slovenia/ pre-euro (1992-2006) (have all the circulating euros, too)
  • Macedonia (1993-2008)
  • Republic of Serbia (2005-2009)
  • Bosnia (1998-2008)

Currently working on Croatia (1993-2009), missing about 30 out of 150+ issues. Their minting is peculiar. They have rotating designs (Latin text for odd years, Croatian text for even years). Mass produce the odd years, but only mint 2,000,000 of each denomination for the even years. Some of them are harder to find, although not really *rare*.

for non-circulation stuff, I have:
  • Slovenia 500T bi-metallics (set of 6)
  • Bosnia 500 dinara Preserve Planet Earth series (set of 11)
  • Bosnia 1 suverena "horses" (set of 5)

currently working on the Croatia 25 kuna bi-metallics and the Yugoslavia 1984 Winter Olympics sets.

Hmmm, completed:
- Australian 3d : 1910-1964
- Australian 6d : 1910-1963
- Australian decimal CIRCULATION types (1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50cents, $1, $2 - doesn't include variants like Wavvy'66 or Millenium Incuse): 1966-current
- Germany SBZ/DDR 1948-1953

And if were counting 'type sets'
- Germany Weimar, Third Reich, SBZ/DDR,

What is in progress (the Major ones):
- Germany Third Reich (obviouisly) and Allied Occupation
- Danzig Minors (almost there - only 2 to go!)
- Kaiserreich Type set (all denominations, both Reichsadler varieties and all States 2M, 3M and 5M)
- Australian 1/2d, 1d, Shilling (2 to go) and Florin
amongst other things (such as BRD and Australian stuff)

My definition of complete does not seem to exist. I collect one of a type of coin, I don't do dates and I don't collect anything that is out of my price range (which is not too great, normally around the $30 range I would have thought).

I have big collections of coins from around the mid 1800s to the present day of Spain, Germany, Austria and the UK. I have a US collection from when I lived in the US but only circulating coins and the odd piece I have picked up.

I have collection of most European countries. WHenever I travel I try and get all the circulating coins.

Got the post revolution (early 1990s) circulating coins of most of the countries that spilt and changed. There are a few coins missing that are hard to get or that I don't know about.

But i'll collect anything cheap.
