Wornslick Pillar of the Community United States 1304 Posts	Posted 11/29/2009 10:50 am Good Morning, I am looking at our coin collection and came across some War Nickels. I looked them up in Coin Prices and they talk about a 1943/2P nickel. They show a picture of the date on the coin but it looks like 1943 to me. Could someone tell me what I should be looking for. Saruma Pillar of the Community United States 968 Posts	Posted 11/29/2009 11:24 am If they normally look like the one pictured in the RedBook I'd disagree about the "easy" part, at least for someone unfamiliar with them. To me, something like the pictures I've seen of the 1955 double date penny would be easy to see. From what I can see in the picture you are looking for a faint diagonal line that crosses the bottom half of the "3". It also looks like the inner curve of the bottom part of the "3" looks kind of doubled due to the base of the "2" appearing there. Report this Post to the Staff
