Looks like some of the planchet lines that didn't flatten during the strike. From the stock rolling of the metal before the planchets were cut.

Note in the two examples, the markers are the same, but the lines in different directions. Came from the same dies.

Its a trail die, I can see the trails on RIBU and the UM in the first pic. Can't tell from the pics what die it is.

Thanks closelook for looking close .I am sure it's a trail die because of the trails at the top of the columns and because the trails are running in a different direction then the planchet lines on EPU.
