Hello all, I'm afraid I have not been able to check coins especially the 5 cent for a while now. Lost my very good magnifying lens. With few to no coin shops now left in Brisbane, I'll have to look around for a replacement online.

From a history point, RAM seems to have a reserve of dies and every now and then they pull one out that was the standard some years earlier. These tend to be the dies used for Mint Set or Proof Set coins rather than for Circulating coins. Not always the case but most of the time.

I'm pleased to see there is still interest in our humble 5 cent and it's varieties and errors. Keep up the good work all.

Hello Mr T. Yes, the 2022 Small SD is mine. I now have one of each type. Interestingly the SDs aren't much different in size, but the echidna is in the low position for what I refer to as the 'Small SD / Low Echidna'. I think the Tiny SD size is a bit larger on recent years compared to earlier years, but I haven't photographed them to be certain.
