New collector of Canadian coins but only the maple leaf, especially the privy issues. Think they are beautiful coins.

Canada represents a larger part of my world coins collection.

I was lucky to find a collector from Canada to provide me with most of the cheaper cointypes struck for circulation in exchange for some of my doubles.

I love Canadian coins! Living in Western New York State, we see Canadian coins in our change regularly, up to the quarter dollar denomination.

Another Canadian coin collector here. I'm working on the pennies, nickles and dimes, but also the commemorative quarters. I'd love to start a half dollar collection, but you can't even find the nickel half dollars anymore. I went to the bank this week and managed to get 3! All of them were the 1952-2002 double-dated ones.

I also collect US pennies, nickles and State Quarters, and getting ready to dive into the dimes. (I've got a bunch of Mercs and silver Rosies to start with.

I also am now a collector of Canadian coins, especially the silver maple leafs with the privy on reverse. I also am now collecting the Dolllars and halves of Canada. Having been a collector of US coins for over 55 years, just now seeing how beautiful the coins of Canada are. Dopna't know what took me so long to find this out, but better late than never. If anyone has any extra coins listed above and would like to swap for US coins, let me know. I also have many duplicate maple leafs to swap. Hope to hear from some of you. I have never been a avid collector of Canadian coins yet have somehow over the years acquired quite a few. In many ways they are much nicer than their American counterparts. I guess this would make them the apple computer of numismatics?

I am somewhat of an advanced casual Canadian collecter from the South. I have 1920 albums of cents - quarters, a few mint sets and quarter sets and my blue folders follow me on every trip up north. I think the Canadian coins are lovely and they certainly need to share the die techniques with us so we can get those mirror like fiishes on our business strike coins. Amazingly for us southern state collectors some of the harder material to find (for face value) is the 1990s and 2000s as it has not trickled down here like the 70s 80s and older coins.

Count me in as a collector of Canadian coinage albeit only the silver maple leafs, Dollars and half dollars at this time. May go into cents later on. Love the maple leaf series, especially the privy issues. If anyone needs dups, I got some to swap for those I need to complete collections. Will actively pursue the dollar and half dollar coins. Anybody got any extras they would care to swap.

Count me in! I started collecting Canadian coins about 3 to 4 years ago, and still do. Now I've just started collecting other countries too.

Dockwalliper:

" have date sets of cents and nickels plus lots of others. I'll probably make an effort to fill in some missing dates when Dansco comes out with their Canadian albums later this year."

Do you have any details on the Dansco Canadian albums or a link to a web site? I have been looking for this information, & have come up blank.

Tx, Ron (ronaldb112)

Late in 2006 Dansco announced that they were going to make a full line of Canadian albums in 2007. They were put on hold to rush the President albums out. At the time they said delayed to later in the year but nothing has been said since. I hear the Guardmaster line of Canadian albums are nice.

well I suppose that you can call me a collector of coins of the grey persuasion. Ive been collecting pennies out of circulation ( we have quite a few in circulation here in Alaska) then I found a small hoard of Quarters that Ive started building a date set with. so I guess that makes me an Alaskan collector of Canadian coins
