1982 Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Obverse DD?

madzdad71 Valued Member United States 377 Posts	Posted 01/08/2010 2:41 pm Does anyone know of a 1982 DD Obverse variety? I have just gotten done searching my weekly rolls and I have found what appears to be split serifs(sp) on "GOD WE TRUST" This does not look anything like MD. The is sharp definition between the letters and the doubling. I know, I know, get pics.. I'll be working on that part this weekend. Report this Post to the Staff

I'll get to it, today hopefully. trying to get Camera dialed in. madzdad71 Valued Member United States 377 Posts	Posted 01/10/2010 1:04 pm If I can get better lighting, and a consistant focus on the camera, I should be able to really get the doubling to pop. My camera is very inconsistant lately, If the light isn't perfect, I get real grainy pics. Under my loop, I can plainly see the clash in the memorial, But with my camera.. can't get it. coppercoins Pillar of the Community United States 7629 Posts	Posted 01/10/2010 3:56 pm Watch out on attributing the 1982D DDO cent...there are a LOT of normal cents for the large date that appear to have extra thickness that actually don't. The chief attribute to use in determining whether yours is a doubled die or whether it is a normal coin is the split in the lower are of TRUST. If it's not there, chances are you have a normal coin.
