Quote: Thematically I like notes with birds and churches, but really any attractive, inexpensive note might find its way into my collection. The Netherlands and Netherlands Antilles have some nice banknotes with birds.

Quote: I just checked my Krause SCWPM & the BNM & Numista. None of them have a prefix change-over point. The BNM shows a note with the prefix KBQ as P-122b FWIW. Thanks for your feedback, walk2dwater! I was hoping you would chime in with your knowledge. It's possible that with the ZCK prefix it could be P-122b, but it might also be a replacement note since it starts with Z. It looks like I will trust the dealer's judgement on this one, baring any evidence to the contrary. P-122a accounts for the vast majority of examples on Numista, so it seems most likely. Even though I may never know for sure about this one, I certainly enjoy the investigative aspect of collecting world banknotes. Quote: I like notes with birds too. Presently, I'm focussing on trying to get some African notes in UNC (which can be challenging). I put in an order from a dealer who did not send 2 notes I ordered from Tanzania & Malawi. Instead she put this note in my order, which happens to be my 2nd example of this 10/- from Uganda. It has a nice heron on it but I would have preferred the 2 notes from Tanzania & Malawi: Sounds like a great collecting focus! That's very disappointing that you didn't receive the notes you ordered. I hope you contacted them and asked for your notes! But I do like the heron and the simple reverse on the Ugandan note, it's very nice.

Quote: The Netherlands and Netherlands Antilles have some nice banknotes with birds. Good to know, thank you NumisEd! I'll check my favorite ebay dealer and see what they have. I have a banknote from Netherlands Antilles on the way, but this one doesn't have birds.

Next up from the fall coin show is this ND (2009) The Gambia 5 Dalasis P-25b. The obverse features a giant kingfisher next to a portrait of a girl, while the reverse has a scene of cattle grazing. A very pleasant banknote.

Yes, I contacted her & she refunded me the $ for the missing notes but I would have much preferred her contacting me immediately after I placed my order b/c I have been on an African binge & really wanted to get those 2 countries (which were well-priced). I would have tried to order something else from her (had I known). Here is the set that I was after, from Northern Ireland ( P-340-342; Ulster Bank 2007-2014):

Another coin show purchase, this time from Guyana. A ND (2005) $100 P-36a. The obverse has a very interesting map of the country showing regional commodities. I bought the note for the reverse, which features St. George's Cathedral in Georgetown, Guyana.

I too like to maximize my orders to reduce the overall money spent on shipping. Quote: Here is the set that I was after, from Northern Ireland (Ulster Bank 2007-2012): That's a very nice set! I like the obverse vignettes.

Quote: That's a very nice set! I like the obverse vignettes. Thanks (They're actually much nicer to view in person with many subtle differences between the denominations- not so visible on the small seller's picture I posted) I actually picked them up for two reasons. The first is I wanted to compliment this George Best note I picked up a while back. (Big soccer fan). The 2nd reason is I really like Ulster's new polymer series (which I wanted to get) but discovered they're all about £5 more than this older (paper) series! So I am hoping that the furor over the new 2018 polymer series dies down so I can pick up a set for a decent price (rather than a king's ransom). P-539 (issued 1 year before my 2007 note): Here's the link to the 2018 polymer £5 which seems so dear right now: https://en.numista.com/217505

That makes sense, sounds like a good idea to keep an eye on the market. I like that George Best note, it's very dynamic! The 2018 £5 banknote is lovely, though, especially that peaceful reverse design.
