mfhorn Pillar of the Community United States 959 Posts	Posted 01/22/2010 3:38 pm It's not 77777777, but is a $20 FRN with serial #IG41414414C worth holding onto, or should I set it free? I actually have the two in front of it, (4412 and 4413) but that makes three different numbers. I'm just getting into paper, and like coins, I'm hooked. Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

karrlot Pillar of the Community United States 535 Posts	Posted 01/27/2010 9:14 pm Yes it does carry a premium. Its called a "Binary" because it only has two different numbers in the SN. Having the two bills in sequence should also add to the premium. Because you have them in sequence, I assume they are in pretty good shape. Search on ebay in "US paper money" by binary and you should see the type of price binaries are getting. The thing with those bills is that you have to find the right buyer. As an example - I'm putting together a binary set of $1's with 2's and 8's. I've paid $40 for a $1 because it had the number I was looking for. If the bill had been one with 2's and 7's (instead of 8's) I wouldn't have paid over $2 for it. If you do decide to sell it, I would look into selling it to an on-line dealer. Unfortunately I took the other (2) bills to the bank the other day, but I still have the "Binary" note.
