VG10, I have a 1838 pcgs slabbed F15 and all letters of liberty are showing on it, at the most yours is a F12 but I'm pretty sure it would grade VG-JMO

Once again I go to our CCF Coin Facts page (click on the US Coin Facts on the left Navigation Bar) and get:

Seated Liberty Half Dime General Grading Standards

G4 Good - LIBERTY on shield smooth. Date and letters readable.
VG8 Very Good - At least three letters in LIBERTY are visible.
F12 Fine - Entire LIBERTY visible, weak spots.
VF20 Very Fine - Entire LIBERTY strong and even.
EF40 Extremely Fine - LIBERTY and scroll edges distinct.
AU50 About Uncirculated - Has traces of light wear on many of the high points. At least half of the mint luster is still present.
MS60 Uncirculated - No trace of wear. Light blemishes.
MS63 Select Uncirculated - No trace of wear. Light blemishes. Attractive mint luster.

And since I can see all the LIBERTY but it is weak in spots, I'm going with an F-12.

Still a great coin with lots of details!
