So I want to compile a large data set to kind of expand on Nickelsearcher's ideas on "Circulation Obsolescence".

So what I need from all of you is a break down of the demoniations you have searched and an itemization of what you have found. Please list the denominations at the top of your post in bold.

See MY first post following this one for an example.

The post immediately following this one, though appreciated, is not useful.

coretj: This should be really interesting. Are you building a huge statistical spreadsheet for all denominations?

This is the best formatting I could do quickly... if there is a way to use preformatted text in the forums please tell me
Yes, look at your post. I edited it for you.

The secret it to put
before and
after the text you would like to have formatted. This forces it to render fixed font spacing instead of proportional.

Should be interesting to see what Tim comes up with.

To set the record straight ..... through a series of PM discussions I agreed to share with coretj my methods and personally-developed Excel spreadsheet to calculate Circulation Obsolescence.

He has set for himself the ambitious goal of expanding the concept beyond my limited effort in Jefferson nickels ....... and I say any valid contributions Tim can make would be interesting for all of us to see and learn from.

I would enjoy reading about the "Top-10" for the other circulating USA coins out there.

Sooooo .... bottom line ..... this effort has my full support and I encourage you to answer the data call as you see fit.

David
