United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters™ Program Well just not sure how I will get into this program. I got into the State Quarter program to big. May not get all the things they will have of these and just get an two extra uncirculated coin sets every year to get these new quarters. Will be nice seeing these have been to just about all our nations National Parks and allot of the national monuments. The 3 ounce silver bullion coin may be interesting though but have to wait and see I read they will be sold through places like APMEX hope this is true then you can pick them up for just a little over spot price if so I may get one of these. What are you all going to do?

I did a bunch of State Quarter sets. Think I'm going to do one UNC and one UNC with proof of these. Not sure yet if I'll buy rolls.

I was told that banks won't be able to order these like they were able to order the State Quarters, so I don't know how I'll go about getting them. I always bought a roll of the State Quarters from my local bank at face, but I won't subscribe to a two roll or a bag of 100 coins from the mint to get them. That's more coins than I want. If this is true is it because the mint is trying to make more money selling the coins above face value? I really wish they went back to a regular issue quarter after the territory program was finished. All these commemorative coins are watering down the hobby.

I will be getting the two roll sets for the business strike coins and the uncirculated sets for the satin finish ones. I'll also try and get as many rolls from the bank as possible so I can sell the Mint wrapped rolls if the prices get over $20 a roll. I will bet some of the issues will sell out at the mint fairly fast and create an opportunity to make some money on the us mint wrapped rolls.

If the designs are good and not cartoons I will probably collect a set or unc/proof. I am also thinking about collecting all the oversize silver issues (originally I thought they were 5oz.) did they change it to 3oz?

I think I'm going to pass on this set for now. I did UNC coins for 50 states and the 6 territories last year, but they really just don't interest me all that much. I've found that I rarely look at my State Quarter set. I constantly drool over my Morgans, 1875-CC set that's still in progress, and some of my nicer GB stuff.

Its something I'll do in passing, not passionately. BTW - when does the first ones come out?

April - hmm, I may do the 2 roll thing.......still haven't decided. Probably easier to do that and sell/trade what I don't need.

The "Two Roll Sets" for the Quarters will be $32.95 each though ! .... ... PLUS Shipping and Handling each time ! So, You'd have to pay $37.00 per two roll set every three months for two $10.00 rolls ! YEEEK !! No way do I want to do that for the entire length of the 10 year program ! (and it may extend beyond the ten years with the law as it's written) Though I agree, yes, it will be difficult to acquire the P and the D from circulation in BU condition every time for the duration of the program. And since banks WON'T be carrying these in rolls like the State Qtrs.......a nice complete Set of these will be harder to have I suppose, for most folks. But that's still a lot of premium to be paying initially, at the beginning, and all the way through, before one even knows what they'll be worth at the end, 10 years from now. Nice MS grades will be keepers of the whole series though.....that's for sure I may get the "Silver Round Version" of only a few that I like....but I won't be trying to collect the entire Set of these.

I have mixed feelings on this program. I just can't see paying that much for the 2-roll sets from the mint. But on the other hand these will be tough to find in mint state in circulation. I really would have preferred a new final design for these instead of more commemoratives.

That is alot to pay for the two roll sets......and its more than every three months, as they are releasing 5 p/year!
Holy smokes - nearly $200 a year for 10 rolls of quarters.
Hmmmm - maybe the fresh out of circulation ones won't be too bad after all. LOL.

Yeah, it's just too much money for far too long to do it !
But I thought that I would "maybe" get like the Yellowstone two roll Set ......and just a couple of my personal favorites throughout the program. But, I will not be a "roll collector" for THIS series !

It'll be interesting to see the mintage #'s since they are doing so much in a year. The Lincoln mintage numbers and Pres Dollar #s have dropped off, as have many things at the mint.
I'd guess the first couple of parks will be overminted, and they'll adjust downwards from there. They may even try to predict which ones won't be big sellers, thereby creating some harder to find rolls.
