I just posted this over in the grading section. I took some closeup pics and went to coppercoins website and I do believe this is a 1938-S 1MM-001. It appears to be MDS as the die gouge shows between the I and N of IN, and another die gouge shows between IN and GOD

I would love to see what you all think.

I agree. It is a little hard to see the RPM, but it is there. I also agree with the MDS die state. It may be a little ealier than the one on coppercoins.

On the LDS example you can see where the die gouge is weakening and the fie flow is appearing.
