It's amazing to me. This late in the year and only found one of these nickels in circulation! These must have been seriously hoarded because I'm just not seeing them!

Which nickel is that? Is that the new styled Jeffrey (Jefferson)? 2006?
Rest in Peace

I also have seen only one.

I was at my coin store yesterday and they had both mints for sale in rolls they had purchased from the mint. However the store owners told me they had not seen a single 2006 Jefferson in circulation.

I think its a plot of some sort....All I have is the 2-roll set from the mint and a single coin I found in circulation.

Here in GA I have seen quite a few. The "Ocean in Veiw" is the one we seem to be lacking. I've gotten only 3 since they came out.

All of the new Nickels are in circulation here,, However the new jefferson is far from being common , I have pulled about a half roll from circulation.

Peace ,Keelboat,OIV and buffs are very common.

I thought that I read somewhere that the Peace Medal variety was getting rarer by the day. I've only managed to pull one from circulation myself, and I've had about 10 people on the lookout for them for me, and from them, I've only received 2.

I also went through 30 rolls worth of nickels that my friends have given me over the last month, and that's where I pulled my 'one' ...

Have a few keelboats, MANY ocean in views, a goodly number of Buffaloes (DQ spelling), and I'm swimming in return to Monticellos...

Are you all talking about the 2006 Jeffrey nickel? If so how much is an uncirculated roll going for?

I have tons of all the new nickles, oihere in CA I buy them for face by the roll! in fact, if you want to pay shipping, I will give them away at face. currently I have about 200, but only about to MS68+!

I've seen a lot of them in circulation and in bank rolls here in GA. I think that these are actually the most common westward journey nickels here.

I've only seen a couple of them so far. I liked the off-set version better. This one is hard to tell if I'm looking at Thomas Jefferson or someone's grandmother at Thanksgiving dinner.

Ode to bureaucracy:

"It's an experimental division at Ft. Benning, and
your lucky to be assigned there rather than anywhere
else, because nobody knows anything about it, which
means that you should know quickly as much about it
as anybody." ---[Maybe even more.]
