Diane, that's a very nice website. I've always wanted to learn about birding. I think I'll give it a try!

I thought it was the best body style out there at the time. I think the Super Bee has the double hood scoops and the Coronet R/T had the single hump in the middle of the hood. I had many muscle cars over the years, mostly Mopars and Chevys. I had 1969 and 1970 Roadrunners. 1971 Duster 340, 1965 Chevy Impala SS (which I rolled, I was a dumb kid ) a 1969 Camaro SS, a 1976 & 1990 Vette. I could go on and on but I won't. Don't get me started on muscle cars and 4X4 trucks.
Not all Super Bee's have the Ram Charger Hood some have the Power Bulge Hood and Mine being a 69 1/2 Super Bee with the 440+6 has the FiberGlass Liftoff Hood with a big scoop in the middle, the only thing that holds my hood on is 4 hood pins,it doesn't have hinges. The 440+6 69 1/2 was strickly made for racing thats why the hood was fiberglass and was easily taken off for quick access to the engine. The Super Bee's and Road Runners both had the half year model (69 1/2) and all of them were 440 six pack cars

And since you brought up hoods some 69 coronet R/T's had the RamCharger Hood as well and they had the stripe around the trunk, the only thing different is mine has the bee in the middle and the R/T had well R/T in the middle of the quarter panel Edited to add: I figured I would show a picture of the grill emblem that I changed when restoring my super bee so everyone would know what I was talking about when I said a bee with racing slicks and side pipes on it

Bryan, I see Dodge is using the Bee again on the "Rumble Bee" truck and a Datona version also. I remember those hoods that came off with the 4 pins and then had 4 extensions to hold them up. I never knew anyone who owned one thought, pretty rare.
