You're welcome!

It's good to help a young numismatist. Just return the favor to a collector younger than yourself someday.

This is a coin all by itself in rarity and strike. It is very important historically, and would be best to have it certified, and restored by a professional de-gunker, IF possible. Possibly the most distinct Memorial error ever, and worth more than most of us have here. Congrats, and safe deposit box to you.

I see 4 strikes or hits! What a mind boggling coin. If it were mine I'd hightail it to get it evaluated abd graded etc to find out what you've actually got. Thats a pretty dramatic and INTERESTING coin. My fingers are crossed for you that its for real and that you've just made history here :) Thats my Two Cents worth! Enjoy :)

The die cap through which this coin was struck experienced 4 or 5 shift-and-strike events before the final strike that created this coin. This coin was struck only once.

Thanks for that info Mike ;) This place really has lot of people like you in here who really know a
lot about coins, I'm learning. The more I browse the forum and other areas of the site, the more I notice this.
Lots of serious collectors of all sorts for all sorts of reasons or interests. A great place with LOTS
of substance. I've sure come to the right place to get addicted to coins and talking about them.

I really do think that coin is awesome for the full and clear repeated images of Abe. Almost spiritual
and historic, very artistic. Glad you found a good one Adam_E. Take lots of pictures

This really is a cool coin! It looks much better after BadThad conserved it.

A coin like this is truly a rare find!

I see that you've just listed it for sale for $175 in the BST section. Obviously, you are free to do as you wish with this coin. In my humble opinion, this is a coin that you will later regret selling. I can see that you are proud of it since you made it your avatar. Throughout your life, $175 will come and go in the blink of an eye. You can search rolls for many years and not find another coin like this.

Obviously, I'm encouraging you to hang onto it. After all, you got it for face value, so it's not like you have a bunch of money tied up into it. In the end however, the decision of whether or not to sell is yours and yours only.

As someone who has bought and sold numerous coins, a few of which I regret, I only wanted to offer my humble opinion...

Good luck!

i know that most would oppose of me selling it(and people might turn their noses up because of it) but I mean it doesn't really have a spot for me. I would rather have $175 to spend on a couple coins that I can use for my SETS then 1 loose coin that I don't really have a spot for.
