But this can't be a genuine "mint error", surely... the 1978 cents have been "struck onto" a finished 1974 silver Montreal Olympics coin - looks like the "Temple of Zeus" $10. I realise that these Olympics coins were spectacularly unsuccessful sellers, but I can't imagine them being so disposable as to be used as scrap metal by the mint for testing die alignments or whatever. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis Report this Post to the Staff
