I think these are type 1 and 2 mint marks for 1981, but would like to see what you think.

They both look to be type 1 to me.Type 2 have a very crisp,clear MM.

I think the first pic is a type 2. At least it sounds like it from the link below.

First pic is a type2, the serifs are elongated and rounded, also the upper one extends beyond the lower loop. Is also has the flattened out appearance of the type2. nlp
