Got to love the thoughts that make people do what they do. However, I watched the TV guys sell gold plated SBA's for $9.99 each. This could be one of their creations.

The TV guys would probably ask $299.00 for this one, being the wide rim variety,

I personally don't think the TV guys have any idea about what they are selling, much less the size of the rims!

Hmmm, I have a gold-plated 1999 SBA that I found in someone's change, you suppose I could get someone to give me ten bucks for it? Even gold plating can't improve that coin...

Hey!!! I found the first year of issue, and you found the last year of issue!! Reckon someone here in Indiana got suckered into one of those TV deals and bought the whole set, only to discover they are only worth spending?! Maybe we can get the rest of the Hoosiers here on the forum and put out an APB for the rest of the set!!! Wouldn't that be neat!! A full set of gold plated SBA's found in circulation by a half dozen or so midwest numismaniacs!!!![:p][:p]
Rest in Peace

I'm ashamed at all of you for making fun of “Goober and Gomer”on Late Night T.V! Why at that price point their almost giving coins away! At least according to a widely read and respected numismatic magazine (Read; Littleton's bulk mail catalogue) I don't know about you but I'm Gonna "put back" as much of their stuff as I can afford because "I'm not threatening you but just warning next time they have to restock, the price will be higher" And remember they have all of the "First Strikes" for every Modern coin ever minted in their "Special Proprietary Packaging" and some deals for as low as twice as much as anybody else charges! But, then there's the stretch pay....... Mike

Mike you should be writing my coin descriptions. I could charge 3 times more and make people much happier.
