Just a few pics of 2 of my recent finds. Sorted out 3 boxes of coins by decades...now going through them. I hope my new loupes get here soon as my 45X microscope is eating up the batteries.

First is a 1967 Double Date. Not listed in the guide book but coinscanada.com has it listed as a variety there. A bit hard to see on some of the date in this pic...best on the 9 in 1967. Very clear with coin in hand through loupe.

Second is a 1974 clip planchet. The second picture is just showing a cent fits perfect in the clip.

Thanks for looking.

Hey Clad, that clip looks similar to mine! Neat trick, never thought of that, seeing if another coin fit in the clip. I will be checking. Nothing personal, but it looks like you have an almost beakless bird on that 1967 coin. Ha ha! Maybe the beakless bird (weak strike) is more common than I thought? The 74 is a nice find, and is off center on the one side. Cooleeeoo

I noticed the collar strike on the 74 clip...makes it all the more interesting to me. As for the 67...I never really looked at its beak. :) I put the pic up as it is a double date. Apparently not a very valuable Double though. The only reason I happened to find it is I noticed on coinsandcanada.com that they had a 1967 confederation double date listed in their price guide. You can see the doubling in the pic...mostly on the 9 in 1967. With the coin in hand the doubling is visible on the entire date. Always worth a look in my book.

Thank you,
