I found this 24-D Lincoln in a roll a couple of weeks ago. At first I thought it was just another 24-P, then the light hit it just right, and the "D" appeared! Are all of the "D" mint marks weak during the twenties?

Who says that all of the good ones are gone from circulation? Not me...anymore.

24-D's along with most D mints are known for their weak strikes. That is a great find!

We would love to see the reverse. That will give us a chance to accurately grade your coin.

A 1924d, and your other thread has a 1922d, both circulation finds? I'm moving to your neighborhood! Sounds like somebody might have unloaded a set into circulation; be on the lookout for the 1909sVDB and the 1914d; you never know!
Rest in Peace

Wow, way to go! The reverse is weak, but I think the obverse carries the coin to VG. Amazing circ find! My best one was a 1909-vdb(non-s) in fine.

There were some other older green rolls in the store's strong box, I may have to acquire them and do a little roll searching at home.

In case you missed my comment in the 1922-D thread... I think you should do that as soon as you can!

I went through about 36 rolls of the green wrappers over the weekend, only to find one other wheatie, and it was so corroded that I could only make out the "191_" of the date.

...on to the next adventure.

I found a 1923-P last night (no picture yet) but it is a very distinct possibility that someone did dump a collection into circulation (191_, 22-D, 23-P, and 24-D within a week and a half).
