Hi all, I aquired this coin some time ago, but I cannot identify it. Does anyone here know what it is? (This is the first "what is it?", more to come)

Seems like a coin from Nepal, except I don't have much clue what else it can be.

I have no idea :( But I am guessing it might be 20th century since Nepal's minting technology was rarely superior.

It does look Nepalese, however, I can't find any refence to it in Krause (19th or 20th Century). All of their "cow coins" depict the cow standing, not sitting like mine. I just noticed that the dies are rotated about 45 degrees as well. I wonder if it might be a token or something along those lines?

You got me stumped there ndgoflo. I think I nailed the country right but I have no idea what it can be. It might be a token or such, and perhaps explains the reason why it isn't in the catalogue...

I know I have one just like it (and in much the same condition! ), it's either one of the Indian States or Nepal. I'll see if I can find it...

BTW, I think the lower picture is upside down.

Try India, Princely States, Indore. Lots of choices, you will have to figure out which one you have. Issued between 1886 & 1903.
