Is there extra thickness to the 86 in the date?

looks like a die chip IMO

It's not a chip, must be the camera angle and lighting. Look at the thickness on the SW of the 6, too.
It looks similar to 1986P-1DO-002, but without the markers.

To me its looks normal. Here is an unlisted one I found some time back. The doubled dies are a lot wider.

Thanks coop, I can see the separation in your pics. It's when there is no separation and just a "spread" that I can't seem to get the hang of.
