if you want a truly complete set you need the 1995 W!

Not if you don't collect proofs!

Yeah, that 95w is the biggie if I go ahead and step up to proofs.
The Dansco doesn't even have a hole for it in the 8100... but I would
make a hole for it just like the burnished in the 7100. Mainly because
the set is not truely complete without the 95w.

Maybe one day.

I was going through the Danscos tonight, and I think the Jeffs or the
Roosies might be my next focus. They shouldn't be too hard.

The only problem with those is that I want to get all the later dates
from mint sets and proof sets, so I am sorta collecting 5-6 coins at
once (money wise) doing that.

The pre-65 stuff is easy cheezy though.

My ASE and Washington books are the only ones I have in UNC.

All the other books are proof inclusive. I'll eventually have to
step the Wash up to proof as well since I'll be buying sets and
have the coins anyway.

"Hard" all depends on whether you will pursue full steps and full bands!

Ironically, I am going to be busting up some mint sets for the Quarters, Halves, and Cents! I was going to put the Jeff's and Roosie's up for grabs! I'll holler at you when I do. Although, they may not be full steps and bands, they will be from mint sets.

The approach I have taken so far for my other books is to fill holes
with what I have collected all my life, no matter condition, then I
will upgrade either as oppurtunity arises, or after all the holes
are filled, whichever comes first. Make sense?

Therefore my Jeff book, for example, has avg circulated coins in it
that I may have had since I was 10, while some other holes that have
been filled in the past year have some REALLY nice coins in them.

I have an MS66 1950-D PCGS, but I couldn't bring myself to break it out.
However I did find a 'raw' 50-D that is nearly as pretty, and got a dayum
good deal on it to boot.

I can tell already that the JFK set is going to be super impressive when
it is complete. I am not really partial to that coin, but they sure are
purty stacked up with silver proofs and all in that Dansco. I probably only
have a third of the holes filled on the JFK set.

I did break out a PCGS MS66 46-S Wash for that book though.

LOL - one of the main reasons I'm busting up my mint sets is to get at the Kennedy's!

I have the majority of that set. Maybe that will be my second completed set! If you want me to save the Jeffs and Roosies, let me know. I was thinking about putting them up as a prize in a contest, but maybe we can trade for something.

I just gave away a set of UNC '55PDS Roosies in my last contest, along with a set of 2010 P&D Kennedy's (I have a mint bag of those, but can't seem to interest anyone in rolls). Maybe I should try half rolls.

Congratulations!

I can easily relate to this!

I doubt I will ever upgrade them. They are a part of me and my history, regardless of their condition. That I have had them for so long is more important to me.
